Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This 45th anniversary edition contains both all the mono as well as the stereo versions. Combined with some alternake takes that's over 30 tracks. The album is also very nicely packaged, with a picture of the the replacement (trunk) cover and a great booklet (with rare pictures) about why and how the butchercover came to be.
Great value for money, in my opinion.

Does anybody know if this CD features the unique original US mono and stereo mixes of 'I'm Only Sleeping' please?

I know there are several versions of this song, but I'm quite sure these are the original u.s. mixes.
For starters, the backwards guitarsolo is flown in earlier (at 1 min 23).

Thanks for the info stefan.
I'd be interested to know whether or not the mono version on this CD has any backwards guitar during the 2nd verse. If it hasn't, it's the original US mono mix.

The backward guitar stops at 1 min 44 and doesn't come back until the outtro at 2 min 47.

Thanks, but it's the 2nd verse I'm interested in, from 0.35 to 0.55.
On the mono version, is there any backwards guitar during the words "at such a speed" or during the words "there's no need"?

there is no backward guitar in that part. Nor anywhere else until 1 min 23.

Isn't anyone worried by the album cover ?

It is hard to imagine how someone would come up with the concept of this album sleeve, even more incredible that it made it to the final album cover!
