This review is from: The Midnight Swimmer (Kindle Edition)
The Midnight Swimmer is a really excellent Cold War thriller. Densely plotted, lots of well-researched period detail and a fascinating take on MAD (mutually assured destruction) and quite how close we all got to being blown away during the Cuba crisis. Like Wilson's other books it would make a great film. I strongly recommend this book - if you've ever enjoyed a Le Carre or, indeed, a William Boyd then get this. It's better than both of them!
