This isn't a bad album, but to be honest, other than the two versions of 'Walk on By' which are worth the price alone, it is patchy and won't be to everyone's taste. The remaining tracks aren't Isaac's best, and are often overlong - the few minutes of spoken introduction to 'By the Time I Get To Phoenix' is a prime example.
Whilst I'm sure many will think it's heresy to criticize what's considered a classic soul record, and say I don't 'get it', I'm afraid parts of this album are just very self-indulgent and not much fun for the listener. Unless you're really into Isaac, buy the singles.
