This review is from: Casio WV-58U-1AVEF Wave Ceptor Mens Resin strap Digital Watch (Watch)
As a first venture into Wave-ceptor watches, this is very adequate. When I unpacked it, I popped it onto a North-facing windowsill, told it to get the time and in a couple of minutes it was set perfectly.
Since then, it's been set to update itself once per day in the small hours of the morning. Normally the watch is on a bedside table in a South-facing room and it successfully gets a time signal about every other night (you can check the date and time of the last update). One night when I was actually wearing it in bed, it updated, when I wasn't expecting it.
By the way, all the bumpf refers to the Rugby time signal, it's nowadays transmitted from Anthorn on the Solway Coast in Cumbria.
The rest works OK and logically, with 4 push buttons. Better than the convolutions to access features on the 3 button watches. Reasonably large with a very clear sharp display, bright blue backlight. Downsides? The alarm is a bit weedy and the build quality isn't exactly Rolex - not that you expect that at this price level. It does however look a bit cheap, and the instruction book is a tiny little thing, clear enough content but a pain to read, hence the 4 stars.
