Yet again I am commenting on one of your reviews Michael :).
"Derivative as be damned...". lol Very true. Think Fish's "Shadowplay" from Internal Exile for the riff on "Surveillance (part 1). And surely Rick Wright has been resurrected to play the opening of "Silence Grows" (reference "Wet Dream"). And Metallica's input in the middle of the last track is spooky (reference "Sad But True" meets "Enter Sandman").
Lots of changes in tempo and mood a la Porcupine Tree - especially on the last track (think of the long version of "Radioactive Toy"). [added] Also on the last track is a clear homage to Floyd's "Animals" towards the end.
I do like this album but it's a little bit too close to being "All Rights Removed II" and, in part, it's as if the band was either struggling for ideas or trying just a little too hard. However, EONS better than BJH's "North".
