This device is absolutely brilliant. I would get Indian call centres ringing me from everything from selling me credit cards to insurance claims and at most was getting 30 calls a day thanks to AOL, everytime I complained about something I seemed to get another Indian call centre harrassing me, in total I received calls from 11 different companies.

I tried to get these calls barred but did not have any success. I had for the last few months actually switched my ringer off so I wouldn't have to hear the my phone ringing all the time.

This call blocker has worked immediately, When I saw the number I just pressed the call block, usually when I hang up on these people they just ring back constantly until I answer and hear all of their sales pitch and I waited for them to ring back and 3 days later still no call from them. I only wished I had given them a piece of my mind before I blocked them permanantly.

I see from some reviews that people have said that this blocker does not work on their phones, I have a cordless Panasonic dect phone and my caller ID is displayed on my phone and not my base unit, and would like to explain a bit about this device.

This call blocker has 2 line socckets, LINE 1 and LINE 2 and on the other side of the device is 2 telephone sockets, TEL 1 and TEL 2. First you put the appropriate cables in the LINE 1 and TEL 1. If this does not work, like it did not for me, you put the appropriate cables in the LINE 2 and TEL 2 sockets and this should work as it did for me. It is important that you do not mix the sockets, i.e LINE 1 with TEL 2. I have not had any problems with my caller id not working or anything else that has been mentioned in the negative reviews.

Do not give your money to your call providers to block nuisance calls as it is them who sell your information to these companies for money so their not going to stop their revenue and on top of that they make money from their customers whilst not actually doing anything about the problem.

in that websites and phone companies...even the TPS (another so called company
claiming to stop nuisance calls) sell your information on to other parties (Data Warehouses
lists) and where the marketing companies go to get customers information and that's the
reason for all of these calls. We are glad your happy with our product though.

Hello James, that's unusual but could be that you just have a faulty device. I would actually ring the customer helpline 0800 652 7780, I had a small problem and they were excellent. They can also do a run through on the device as well.

I remember that the instructions provided made the set up seem more complicated than it was and I did have a duh moment. Hope everything gets sorted for you soon

Hi Shaul, It doesn't automatically block any numbers that are not listed in its pest list. However, once you press the "block now" button, then the number will be stored in your devices memory and from then on will be blocked automatically. However do remember that these cold calling companies have several numbers that they dial out from and then will try to make a buck from selling your number on to other companies, but stay patient they will exhaust their avenues once you keep zapping them like flies with this device, its been ages since I've had any nuisance cold callers calling me that I forgot about this device until I just recently got a new phone and had to reattach it. Good luck and do remember to give them a piece of your mind before you block them, I forgot to do that.

Hi Mina,
I am very interested in buying one of these devices for my elderly mother as she is plagued by nuisance calls. I just wanted to ask you about a concern I have, my Mum is in quite poor health now and therefore she is in contact with her local doctors surgery & the local Hospital quite frequently, sometimes though they have to ring her back on occasions and when they do (mum has caller display) it comes up on her phone as a withheld number, so will these calls not be able to get through? Would appreciate a reply if you know, many thanks, Christine

I know exactly what you mean my doctors' surgery also comes up as withheld , all withheld numbers do ring through, its only the pest numbers which are already stored in this device and hospitals and doctors surgeries will not be in that list so don't worry. What your mum will have to do is answer the phone first and if it is a genuine call, that's fine she won't have to do anything, just take the call and put the handset down. If she answers the phone and its a nuisance call just tell her to press the "block now" button and put the handset down. Hope this helps Mina.
