Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Asus PB238Q 23-inch Widescreen IPS Multimedia Monitor(1920 x 1080, 6ms, VGA, HDMI, DVI, Display Port, USB) (Accessory)
I made the mistake of originally purchasing the Asus VS278Q 27. On paper this looked to be a superior monitor. It wasn't. The colours were insipid. The blacks were muted grey. There was screen bleed at the bottom of the screen. And there was also dead pixel.
This monitor however sings in every way a monitor can possibly sing. And it's £30 cheaper than my original purchase. The colours are rich and vibrant. I have seen no evidence of screen bleed. No dead pixels. And no ghosting. (Do not be worried about the response time. You only really start to notice ghosting with a response time of around 15ms).
The monitor can also pivot 90 degrees, and in landscape mode can be pushed down low or high depending on your preference. I love the portrait mode for photo editing and writing documents. It does not come with built in auto adjust software. For older graphicas cards you will need to do ctrl+alt+directional arrow key to change the orientation. For newer cards right click on your wallpaper and go into your graphics cards settings. I use Nvidea and it was very simple to change from landscape to portrait.
It comes with a wide array of cables depending on how new your card is. HDMI, DVI, VGA and my personal favourite, the display port, which in my opinion is by far the most superior of all in terms of picture and sound.
This is the best monitor I have ever used and I cannot praise it enough.
