Does what it says with one minor niggle.,
This review is from: Energenie 30 Minute Run Down Timer Plug (DIY & Tools)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This simply does what it says. Plug the device into the Energenie, press the green button and 30 mins later it switches itself off without any fuss. Useful for any device liable to be left on. The company suggests Irons, heating tongs, etc. But I think it's also useful for loads of other devices as well - mains adaptors for rarely used items, plug in lights liable to be left on. At the rate that electricity costs today - I have a monitor fitted so I'm only to grimly aware - I'm sure that the low cost of this on some of the kid's stuff will be a good idea.
I have one small niggle, which I'd encourage Energenie to think about. I'd like an alarm that tells me it's about to go off at, say, 60 or 120 seconds before it does. That way I could fit it to the kid's computer equipment which eats electricity. Don't mind it when they are using it, but get hacked off when they all rush out and leave it all on. An alarm would remind them to press the button again to continue using stuff rather than it all immediately stop.
