4.0 out of 5 stars sandie shaw - long box 4cd set(remastered), 2 Feb 2012
This review is from: Nothing Comes Easy (Audio CD)
almost every SS single except "Jeane" with the smiths in 1984 from that 12" single.!

otherwise "hand in glove" & "I don't owe you anything" w/smiths ARE on it. alas no TOTP-BBC1TV version of HIG single - pity as J.Marr Esq wore wife Angie's jewels that evening.! great fun.

great set. lots of stereo cuts. some foreign ep/singles cuts.

all her Pye A's & B's on it. Remastered.

CD no 4(/4) is rarities stuff.

Booklet is superb.

Mr G. says:
Can I ask about the track called Rose Garden on this box set, is it the original recording the same as the Pye single, or has it been re-corded with instruments added to it? also the same question goes to the track called Maybe I'm Amazed?
I ask as these 2 tracks feature on a Bulldog Records compilation BDCD2051, and I am pretty sure that the Rose Garden track on it isn't the original, whereas the Maybe I'm Amazed track is, as I remember it faded up on the single 45 and it does likewise on the Bulldog Records compilation.

i dont know ms s.shaw's work enough to comment on it with 100% accuracy.
as far as i am aware these songs are the original mastertapes from the pye vaults.
i bought this 4cd set as there is nothing close to it in terms of completeness.!
