5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent repackaging of the first 29 episodes Disney made, 31 Aug. 2006
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dinosaurs: Complete First & Second Seasons [DVD] [1992] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
In this package you get the five episodes of Season One and all 24 episodes of Season Two. And then suddenly, in 1994, it all stopped. Why?

Well, the character of Earl Sinclair is awfully like that of Homer Simpson. The whole set up is eerily reminiscent of 'The Simpsons' (whih came later) -- in fact there's a 1992 Simpsons episode in which Bart is watching a TV series similar to 'Dinosaurs' and ironically accuses it of ripping off his family's lifestyle.

This is a nicely packaged set, with a dino-egg bonus on each of the four discs. Picture quality is not brilliant, but who really cares? There are far more episodes in this set than you could ever buy on VHS. Your children will love it.

Just like to point out that the Simpsons actually started in 1989 (before dinosaurs)

My question is.. IS DISNEY OR WHOEVER GOING TO RELEASE THIS IN REGION 2?

I LOVED the series when it aired courtesy of LWT...

Me too! It was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

My goodness i had forgotten all about this series. I remember it (reasonably well) as being very entertaining and even laugh out loud funny.

I remember this when it was first shown, it was really funny. Please, please, please release all of the episodes on region 2 discs, I'm sure they would sell enough to be worth it.

The idea for this programme predates The Simpsons. Read the info on the IMDB website.

There's a Simpsons episode where they are briefly watching a dinosaur show(this one) and lisa says 'these talking dinosaurs are more real than most real-life families' & that's exactly what this show did- capture family life down to a tee.
Just get a multi-region dvd player, they are not expensive these days
