Avoid this like the plaque. I am an experienced cook and rarely have problems but every recipe I have tried from this book so far has been incorrect in some way. I wonder if the recipes have been properly tried and tested?

Unfortunately, I didn't get this review in time to prevent me buying it. I can't believe I bought a cookbook that offers me nothing in the way of something I have not cooked before. It must be difficult nowadays to come up with something original in all sorts of worlds, but no one should publish a book ever without saying what level of audience they are aiming at. This is a book I couldn't believe, in many ways, because I thought I myself could have done it. Without the fancy photography, it would be Christmas Day in my house for the last 30 years. Hence, I can't even give it to my daughters who are now better cooks than me. How disappointing, because Annie Bell's rather original recipes in the newspapers have always been wonderful enough for me to cut out and keep. Maybe those were the days, then.
