Review.
Classic is an overstated phrase in today's society but rest assured this movie is a "CLASSIC".

From the arrival of a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator who's presence alone is intimidation enough kills a gang to steal a pair of their leaders clothes.

On the other side of town another arrival Kyle Reece whom has attracted attention by the police & uses his cunning in escaping & outrunning them.

This movie is about a AI Skynet whoms defeat at the hands of a certain John Connor spell doom for Skynet so in a last ditch attempt sends a Terminator back through time to kill Johns mother before he's convinced that would then change the future.

Kyle Reece is sent by John Connor to protect his mother & save his own existence.

What follows is a action classic as The Terminator unstoppable presence scares throughout as he's relentless in his quest to kill Sarah Connor.

The Police Station sequence is the standout scene excellently shot by James Cameron showing how a entire police force has No effct on The Terminator & his mission were the Terminator wipes out a entire police force.

Kyle Reece whom was distrusted by Sarah at the begining has now warmed to Kyle & they share a loving moment(Guess who John Connors Father is), Before a final confrontation with the Terminator were if to lose this battle will be the destruction of mankind.

This film may have dated with the special effects in places aged due to it being a nearly 30 year old film.

But the action & story haven't as this is one of the best written SciFi movies I've seen to date, Brimming with great characters superb action & tension & drama.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is perfect casting as the Terminator who only says a few lines but his intimidating screen presence alone makes him stsnd out from the crowd.

Michael Biehn offers great support as Mercenary Kyle Reece whos battle scarred due to the horrors of fighting a war shows vulnerability to Sarah in there tender loving scenes but also shows what a fierce mercenary he is when battling the Terminator.

Linda Hamilton is superb in this film as at first bumbling Sarah Connor who toughens up during the movie & becomes a force to be reckoned with as she helps Reece battle the Terminator.

But my credit goes to director James Cameron who's vision for this film & it's sequel is a genius as this is now a cult SciFi classic, The attention to detail is immaculately precise & who's written story is an classic.

Theres plenty of extras on this disc from deleted scenes that dont add up too much & Cameron was correct in omitting them from the final cut.

The Documentary is well detailed & the commentary is engaging.

This is an "EPIC" SciFi classic & is highly recommended purchase.
