Verified Purchase(What is this?)

Since writing this review it is NOW listed as a Mastech/Sinometer
1st things first it is Not a "Mastech" but a "Sinometer" AC/DC Auto/Manual Range Digital Multimeter, MS8268
But If that doesn't bother you then fire ahead.
It is quite large and stands up nicely on its fold out kick stand, It has a very nice large display although
the backlight stays on for only a few seconds, rather annoying as it has an auto power off!
The continuity tester is also a wee bit annoying as it is not the default notch on the dial and the manufacturer has
decided that you are more lightly to wish to test a diode than check continuity. The audible beep is also not exactly
ear splitting and I found myself glancing at the meter to check it had beeped.
It would be nice, on such a large meter to have a place to store the attachment for testing transistors, capacitors etc.. as these parts can
so easily become lost, there are however two slots on the rear to clip on the probes.
Apart from these initial gripes it seems pretty good , the probes supplied are very nice quality and the
autoranging is certainly worth the extra £4 over the MS8261 as you can switch to manual if you realy feel you need to.
So far on my limited testing, I am happy with this meter and would recomend it.
