Beautifully drawn & nostalgic rollercoaster of adventure,
This review is from: The Adventures of Blake and Mortimer: The Yellow "M" v. 1 (Adventures of Blake & Mortimer) (Paperback)
This is a wonderfully nostalgic adventure that cavorts around London in the 1950's. The clear line developed by Herge is in evidence in this work by Edgar P Jacbs who also worked on Tintin. Being originally printed in the Tintin magazine it has a similar pace and regular cliff-hanger to fit in with that publication. The drama is very tangible and more real than in Herge's work and the draftsmanship is splendid.
There were many adventures in this series (some continued after Jacob's death) and they make a great read.
