This review is from: Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2: 2009 Edition (Paperback)
Up until three years ago, if you wanted to work for local government or goverment agency you had to have the Prince 2 qualification. The tide seems to have turned and it is no longer essential. Which is just as well, since the coursework in this book is not really an aid to study. It is probably useful as a reference book, but there are other textbooks available that do a better job.(The Dummies one for example). Having studied this manual, I can say that it is not readable, nor memorable. The structure is long, looong and dull. Interestingly, I note that a lot of the companies who marketed Prince 2 have turned to marketing Agile as the next new thing. Expect to be required to get an NVQ in that as well.
