Perfect for Pizza,

This review is from: Silikomart Silicone Baking Mat (Kitchen & Home)
I love this silicone mat. Yes, it was pricey, but just cooked my first homemade pizza at 260 C and it didn't stick. I forgot to oil it, just left it on the mat after rolling it out. I am seriously impressed. I put the mat on top of the insert from my baking tin to give it stability and make it easier to transport in and out of the oven. It took me months to use the mat for baking on as I am a grandmother and just thought, this can't possibly stand the intense heat of an oven.
DO BE CAREFUL, however, when using it to work on that you don't start slicing stuff up on it. Despite having done this on a couple of occasions (doooohhhh!!), the mat's properties haven't been compromised. I have several slim chopping boards and mistook this for one, so have a few knife slices in the surface. Don't make my silly mistake. Fortunately, no real damage has been done. It sits happily on the top of my microwave oven and just needs a wipe with a damp cloth before use.

if you cook pizzas they turn out much better by putting them on a metal pizza screen than on any tray
