tried this on a whim, I saw that it was being turned into a film so I wanted to read it before seeing it as usually the books are better, I am usually a thriller/crime reader but do read genres like this from time to time. This just didn't work for me, the language felt like a throw back to the agonizing Dawson creek type quite wordy teenagers, it lacked pretty much everything for me, lack in character depth, everything felt like we were getting the surface and nothing deeper, the book that is very overly mentioned how do I start without stopping??? It sounded crap and the writer was an ass then turned into an OK person come on! Any way this tried just a wee bit too hard to pull on the tear ducts which failed for me, it was trying to show the teens being mature one min then total brats the next, I did finish it but I can honestly say I won't read more by this author & won't be watching the film. It was VERY predictable and felt staged.
