5.0 out of 5 stars Problem solved, 31 Jan. 2012

This review is from: OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-120G Agility 3 120GB SATA III 2.5 inch SSD (Personal Computers)
I bought one of these drives a few weeks ago and it would install ok, but after installing a few programs it would then hang. It became very frustrating. To cut a long story short I entered the bios and altered the sata settings from ide to ahci. The drive now works faultlessly and my system boots up in a matter of seconds. Hope this may help anyone else who has problems

of course you need to set it to ahci

also its best to use windows 7 as that has TRIM and will ensure the best use of the drive - without going into complex detail it cures a problem that ssd's have with deleted data - ensures its cleared and thus improves ssd drive performance

OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-120G Agility 3 120GB SATA III 2.5 inch SSD Sorry benjamin but I don't like your patronising comments. I learn by my mistakes as I'm sure a lot of people do. Everything I know about computers has been trial and error. Please keep abrupt comments like these to yourself.

Well said Sw Harrison, I totally agree with your reply to Benjamin, just ignore him and hopefully he will go away.

Well I would say if your giving a review based on your own trials and errors, you might consider putting your "review" on a forum for a debate on the item. NOT on a review posting, if you don't really know, what you are doing with what you know little of. Then, I would advise you to be a little more understanding of the frustrations felt by Benjamin and others, due to people whom just pass on useless reviews, such as you.

Another load of patronising rubbish. Are you one of those people who think only a select few are capable of tackling computer technology. I'm a retired TV engineer and I know a lot more about tv and audio repairs than the general public does, but I don't put down anyone who has a go.Another thing you should read regarding my review is that 23 out of 26 people found my review helpful. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. P.S. keep your unwelcome remarks to yourself.
