I'm quite some way through the game now and I'm finding the cut scenes are getting ridiculous. I thought they were long at the start of the game but little was I to know how silly things would get later on. I've not timed it yet but I'm guessing sometimes I can finish a section and then be sat watching for 20-30mins?
Many games have cut scenes but they don't lose sight of the fact that they are a game - with MGS4, for me it does. It's a shame since the game sections are excellent. I've actually given up on watching the cut-scenes now and am skipping instead. I'll read what it was all about when I'm finished.
Did something get lost in translation? What were they thinking when they called characters 'Big Momma' or 'Big Boss' - it just made me laugh when you have these cyber actors trying to be all serious then they come out with 'We must find Big Momma', Eddie Murphy springs to mind.
Can someone explain the purpose of the iPod in the game? They made a bit of a fuss about it when I watched the extra's but now that I'm playing it I feel no urge to pull over and put the virtual iPod on - I'm playing a game! If I wanna listen to music I'll do so.
