This review is from: Lost Love Letters: An Indie Chicks Anthology (Kindle Edition)
An emotive set of short pieces presented as love letters. I liked the concept of this; so often compilations are disjointed, with too many styles and genres juggling for attention.
I have to mention Dear Shirley Jean, by Peg Brantley and Dear Jake, by Donna Fasano. Both outstanding contributions.
Faith Mortimer’s letter to her daughter was wise and uplifting, and Barbara Silkstone writes to a childhood sweetheart who was found again briefly, then lost forever. A thoughtful piece, full of regret and begging lots of questions.
All of the letters are well written, but I imagine the ones which strike a personal chord will differ from reader to reader, depending on their own particular life experience.
Well worth a read.
