1.0 out of 5 stars complete rubbish, 31 Mar. 2014
This review is from: The Burning Question: We Can't Burn Half the World's Oil, Coal and Gas. So How Do We Quit? (Paperback)
more half backed ideas on a subject that is proven not to be true! There is no global warming, been proved the case over and over again. The world has cooled down in the last 15 years, but all this nonsense gives the tree huggers a right to blame mankind for creating a problem that doesn't exist, not to mention all the lovely money the scientist get to "research" this myth over and over.

It would better for all of us if you simply sit down and be quiet.

It's 'you're' not 'your'. You can't even get your grammar right, why should we trust your opinion on science?!
Admit it, you are beaten. You've tried your best to muddy the waters and received your cheque from the oil companies for services rendered. With the latest IPCC report, scientists have proved beyond doubt that climate change is occurring, so give up boring everyone, join the fight to tackle climate change like a real grown-up.

Given that 97% of climate scientists agree that the evidence for anthropogenic climate change is at this point completely overwhelming, your anti-science, evidence free, tin foil hat rant is utterly pointless. Or perhaps all of these scientists are lying, and are involved in a gigantic global conspiracy to promote clean air? Even if that were true, which is clearly isn't to anyone with a functioning brain cell or two, then it's still a win for humanity.

Furthermore, you haven't read this book, have you? You merely came here to spout anti-science conspiracy theory rubbish. Please, either grow up and learn to read the science, or just shut up. Either way, evidence free rubbish is both dangerous and infantile.

Dear 'the-truth', out of curiosity do you show the same disbelief with other areas of science? I mean, when you have a headache, do you refuse to take a paracetamol because a damn scientist developed it? How about cancer, i'm guessing that if you were to get cancer then you will be going to a priest rather than a hospital consultant? When you go abroad, i'm guessing you don't fly, because damn scientists invented the jet engine, so you prefer to walk right? And there's computers! And presumably you prefer to buy your books from your local bookshop as opposed to Amazon, afterall a damn lying scientist invented the microchip. No smartphone for you either? No car? No antibiotics? No digital radio or television? No clean water, the damn scientists again! No lighting in your house, the damn lying scientists! No microwave cooking, those bloody scientists. It's all lies! None of it works! A great conspiracy!

The way anyone can disregard the scientific consensus of 97% of the world's climate change scientists boggles the mind. Evidence matters, it's all that matters in fact, and the consensus is in - climate change is real and man made. Sorry if the facts are inconvenient, but I bet some were disappointed when they heard the earth wasn't flat and we share a common ancestor with apes.
