As someone who doesn't have any children, I am curious as to what motherhood is all about. Is it really as fantastic as those gushing mothers proclaim? I am constantly told that I'll change my mind about not wanting children and I picked up this book to gain insight into the realities of motherhood. It's an extremely compelling read and is honest and real, unlike many books out there that do little justice to women. Having read the book, I remain staunchy child-free but have a respect for mothers and what they endure. I would love to shake Rachel Cusk's hand and congratulate her on such a fantastic achievement. As another reviewer noted, anyone who thinks she doesn't love her child is insane.
