This review is from: Airwave 3x3mtr Pop Up Waterproof Gazebo in Black with 2 WindBars and 4 Leg Weight Bags (Garden & Outdoors)
Bought this a couple of months back, deliberated about which colour to have and am very pleased with the look of the black version. Have used it several times now,a couple of times for parties and everyone comments on its "upmarket" looks!
As mentioned previously by others, the instructions could possibly be a little clearer but nevertheless, with two of us who had never put one up before,we managed fine.As with most things,on subsequent occasions, familiarity makes it a lot easier to complete the task. It's definitely a two person job,but the more the merrier! When you first put it up the canopy needs to be put in place, but after that you can leave it on the framework. The sides are optional once it is up and as with the canopy they are secured with several velcro strips. The pole to help with sturdiness in windy conditions is effective and clips on the frame quite easily.
Taking it down seemed easier, and putting it back in the zip up bag feet first worked a treat.
The quality of material is excellent.Only had one downpour but not a drop seeped through.Due to positioning, our garden doesn't offer many places to utilise the guy ropes or spikes, therefore on ordering we bought a set of plastic "weights" which we filled with water and they act as excellent ballast when fitted on the corners.
If you have the facility,it's well worth buying a set of lights (low voltage of course!) to hang inside the gazebo for some great nighttime effects.Once again, black canvas acts as a good background for coloured lanterns etc. For safety reasons - candles are not recommended!
All in all, this seems an great buy,a good steel frame with a quality canvas cover. If you are searching for a gazebo, let your search end here!
AN UPDATE: A few years on (Jan 2016!), and several outings later this product is still very robust. We haven't left it out for prolonged periods in all kinds of weather, but when it has been out in typical British summer rain it has faired very well. It's easy to put up with four people (adults), and likewise to dismantle. The optional sides are simple to attach and provide good shelter from the wind whatever direction it's blowing from. We've since purchased an upright low voltage patio heater which has proven to be a great accompaniment for those (frequent!) chillier evenings inside the outdoor cave.
