First class summary,
This review is from: The British Reconnaissance Corps in World War II (Elite) (Paperback)
This is a first-class summary of the history of the Reconnaissance Corps, formed in 1941. The author's previous work on the Corps, in the first history written since 1947, stands him in good stead to produce this excellent Osprey title, which is replete with good photographs - some of them rare private images - and outstanding artwork. Bearing in mind the scale of the book he has done an outstanding job in covering the work of Recce units at war. Those who would like a little more about tactics and doctrine will want to read this in association with the Osprey title on recce tactics of the Second World War.
