What a masterpiece of a Lens,
This review is from: Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens (Accessory)Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens. I have only run of a couple of hundred photos since I bought it just testing it out but the results are spectacular. You really need to print out a couple of photos on a pro printer to see what the lens is capable of and the colors are splendid viewing them on a computer screen dose not give the pictures justice. This is my first ultra wide lens I have bought and very happy with the results. Build quality is very good typical Canon quality.

Was the lens repaired/replaced? Are you now happy with it, or would I be better looking for something else?

Hi. At first I was very annoyed that a lens that cost over £1,200 failed in the first 6 weeks of use. As I live in Thailand the lens was repaired but not replaced by Canon in Bangkok, It took 4 weeks and Canon were very apologetic over the issue and would have loaned me a replacement if they had one. But believe me the optics and the quality of the shoots are incredible and a very fast focusing lens. I think I was just unlucky that the one I had, had a problem. If you do buy I am positive you will not be disappointed.

Thank you very much for the reply. Shame they didn't replace it for you, but at least you're happy with the results now. I've just bought a 70 - 300l lens and this one will complete my collection, until I can justify buying another! You'll have to post some pics from your adopted country - wish I was there!
All the best!

If everything is now great with this lens, maybe you should amend the title and rating??
