Panasonic DMC - TZ30,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Panasonic DMC-TZ30EB-R Compact Camera - Red (14.1MP, 20x Optical Zoom) 3 inch LCD (Electronics)
Having always had a Canon camera I thought I would have a change and try the Panasonic TZ30. Not sure whether I did the right thing.
The camera is OK it does the job, and when the right mode is set it does take good pictures. Personally I find the dial for selecting the different photo modes too small, as is the on/off switch.
I have found that on auto mode, the colours in the captured photo do not appear to be a true reflection of the image, especially indoors.
Although the most disappointing aspect for me is Portrait mode. For me on Portrait mode, the backgroung should appear slightly blurred to make the portrait stand out - but this does not happen at all.
With a bit of trial and error though, this can be achieved when the Aperture-Priority mode is selected.
It is not all doom ang gloom though, this camera does take good Macro shots and the Scene Selection is easy to find and has plenty to chose from.
If given the opportunity would I purchase this camera again....probably not.
