Faster than its previous incarnation,

I think there are those who love Corel products and those who don't and then there are yet others who are uncertain, but want to believe. I think I fall into the latter category and as such buy every new version of their software as it comes out. In this case there is a distinct improvement upon the previous version, this one being much more able when working with multi-core processors. The major limitation for software that doesn't properly utilise the updated machine specs is that it they can experience far more software crashes (or so it would seem). With Corel software a common criticism in the past, but not so much these days, was the amount of freezing and crashing that happened.
This software has an updated user interface that is much cleaner and more readily accessible.
An indication of the improved status of the software came from my eleven year old son who wanting to make a keepsake movie to share with his friends, took several rather mediocre video clips that he had from his now former primary school, and easily edited them with a few clicks and tacked them into a very acceptable and quite sentimental piece that had at least some of the friends in a rather emotional state. That sounds to me like it works pretty well!
The only downside woth Corel is the frequency of new versions as it does mean I end up spending a lot of money. I would like them to get it right and keep the formula..just a small criticism, but worth note by Corel?
