I have used many of the Hamlyn 200 cookbook series and after enjoying a delicious Moroccan Lamb dish in the 200 Slow Cooker Recipe book, I hoped I would find more inspiration in this collection. The book is split into nine sections: Kemia and small first courses, Soups, Tagines, Fish, Kebabs & accompaniments, Vegetables, Couscous, Pastillas, and Deserts & sweet things.
Unfortunately, this is one of the weakest books I have seen in this Hamlyn range as many of the photos are uninspiring and lots of the recipes are very similar to others including many pastry dishes and three separate recipes for roasted peppers (Roasted Peppers with Argan Oil, Roasted Peppers with Lemon and Roasted Pepper & Tomato Salad). The only recipe that I might try is the one for Chicken & Hummus Wraps. I would recommend saving your money on this one and instead create your own combination of your favourite meats, spices, fruits and couscous to create tasty Moroccan treats.
