Challenging in so many ways,

This review is from: Future Grace, Revised Edition: The Purifying Power of the Promises of God (Kindle Edition)
This is not a quick, light read, but it is deep in both thought and evidence based. It looks at the way God really intends us to live our lives and how grace works. It addresses some quite thorny issues and certainly challenges thinking. It explores the dangers of some modern cultural thinking, especially if I have been given a gift I need to give something back (doing things out of gratitude). This diminishes grace. But more challenging is living in the full assurance of future grace. Our minds are often clouded with doubt, (can or would actually do that for me....) and that can be regarded as unbelief. John Piper addresses these issues and goes further to talk about living a life in full assurance of future grace.
Definitely worth the read. Only reason not 5 stars is that if you want to take it seriously, it requires thinking and processing so not always an easy read.
