It is a film, if you have seen the film Ed and co. are very good, how realistic? but I expect it is a play on need and partially very accurate, at least he tried to get some notable standard of real life as did Kostner and Duvall, I thought the playoff by Viggo excellent the context and the scenes are superb, they carry the theme and leave you with a classic painting. Lovely work about a violent era obviously. But it has a point to make. Treat it as a film and watch it 17 times.
