Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I must admit that I'm not what you would call an expert user of PaintShop Pro, but since I was already familiar with previous editions of the software it just made sense to me that once the upgrade was available that I would go for the update.

I never had any issues using earlier PaintShop Pro versions on my Windows 7 PC but apparently quite a lot of users did. Since this was never a problem for me in the past, I can't comment on the comparability improvements that have been made, just that with this edition I have had no conflicts with my Windows 7 laptop. As a bonus, a full copy of the current WinZip was bundled with this. Not something I was looking for, but it saved me from having to splash out on a separate copy so that adds to the value for money here.

The user interface is simple and well laid out, finding photos within folders is straightforward with pertinent features selectable from clickable tabs. There are hundreds and hundreds of effects on offer here, enough to tempt away users of other, less feature-filled packages. The menus are a little smoother now and navigating around the options is a little more slick. Unless you were stung by compatibility issues last time round, you might not feel this is different enough to justify coughing up the cash again for an update.

Thanks
the bottom line says it all

I could never get my versions to run on Win 7
and the help desk was literally non-existant - not a dick-bird, nowt - except when I declared it not-fir-for purpose, then they acknowledged me.

I had to by Photoshop elements - which weirdly has functioned since day one; without ever crashing.

PSP did crash regularly from version 4 onwards - yes I was a dedicated user, but no longer. Corel just made it worse.
