Good but not his best IMHO.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Push the Sky Away (Deluxe Edition) (MP3 Download)
Bought the download version for £2.99 which came with the new live album free - bargain! It's good but not up there with 'No more shall we part' or his Grinderman albums. I guess it's all down to taste and this is way better than 99% of the rubbish that's out there now and he doesn't really get recognised for it. No justice.

N. Bolton says:
Get the CD to hear the actual album, the compressed sound of mp3s is no way to hear good music. It's OK for a preview, but has little to do with what the artist intended to be heard.

I know what you're saying and I've recently been experimenting with digitising my cd collection. The big question was - in which format? I asked people in the know and I read up about it everywhere and anywhere. Should I use FLAC, WAV, MP3, etc. etc. Concensus of opinion is FLAC if I want quality and aren't too bothered about using up memory. But then I did some tests and to be brutally honest, sound wise I really couldn't tell the difference between the different formats. I'm in my 50s and although I think my hearing is perfect it simply isn't. So if I was 20 then the cd version of this album probably would sound better but at my age the difference is going to be negligible. Whatever format, Nick Cave still is head and shoulders above most mainstream 'rock'.
