This excellent book had me in stitches from start to finish. As a mother and a wife I related to so much. My favourite "histoire" was when an exasperated Dinah goes to ask directions, after Ben has driven round a round-about numerous times, and as soon as she had gone both children need a wee. The comedy of errors that follow as Daddy tries to deal with the situation is hilarious and I had tears rolling down my face.
As a fluent French speaker I've never experienced the difficulties the language barrier can present in France. Ben deals with some of these problems well and gives a short but accurate historical introduction to each chapter.
I loved this book and look forward to the next one! Allez-y Ben Hatch!
