A Work of Genius,
By A Customer
This review is from: Carfree Cities (Hardcover)
This practical, how-to book describes the design of a modern city that could operate without car transport. Most of us take it for granted that the environmental, health and sociological problems associated with city car use are unavoidable. However, this book provides brutally simple, logical and persuasive arguments to convince the reader that these evils are not necessary after all.
Because the author makes no attempt to impress us with his intelligence or education, his book is a joy to read, clearly laid out with explanantory diagrams on nearly every page.
This book is not all logic; the author's passion for his subject is obvious. This is the most inspiring and thought provoking book I have ever read.
