Very funny but...,
This review is from: Your Movie Sucks (Paperback)
I like Roger Ebert's film reviews very much. I find he approaches movies as a non-critic would, and only delves in the more technical aspects of a film as his reviews (which are quite long) progress. He will frequently discuss small details for which he likes or dislikes a film in a very personal way, and he uses plenty of humour.
The reviews in this book are no exception - well written and very funny, particularly as these movies suck! The problem is that many of these films sucked so much that not many people saw them, and reading reviews of a film you have not seen - and which you have no intention to see - can in the long run result a bit dry. At any rate not a book that you would read a second time.
I'd definitely recommend his "great movies" books instead: still full of humour, but about films that most people have seen - or will want to see after reading the review.
