A Wii Game That The Whole Family Can Play Sitting Down,
This review is from: Pictionary - uDraw (Wii) (Video Game)FIRST - you need the uDraw tablet to play this game, it's not included.
On to the game. If you've ever played Pictionary, you'll know the idea. I draw a clue, you have to guess what it is. We play in teams, so you need 4 people minimum to play properly, and there is enough for up to 4 teams.
All of the gameplay takes place using the tablet, including rolling the die. Our obvious question was "how do you read the clue without everyone seeing?" - answer, everyone else looks away!
There are adult and junior clues, which is great for the whole family, though bear in mind that there is the slight American twang to some clues. Then there is the age old Pictionary problem of repeating clues, which can't be helped.
Timers can be set to make things easier or harder. Players can draw, paint, crayon, chalk, fill, draw lines and shapes. Often though, as there is barely 2 minutes to play with, people will default to the good old pencil.
As drawing games go, this transfers quite well to the big screen, and my seventysomething father and seven year old child can play together, which is always a positive.
If you've already got the uDraw, this is worth the extra spend.
