5.0 out of 5 stars Level Best remastered, 17 Jan. 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Definitive Collection (Audio CD)
As pointed out by previous customers, the track listing in this cd is basically the same as the one in the previous collection "Level Best".
"Why bother, then?", you might ask. I'll tell you why. The songs have been (as you'd expect) beautifully remastered, and sound like they never did.
I already owned "Level Best", but I'm surely glad I purchased this one too.
I mean, just listen to that bass pumping...

Can anyone tell me if the songs on this album are single versions or the annoyingly long album versions like they are on 'The Ultimate Collection'? All earlier ones had the single ones but I fear this one won't, judging by the cover (it's very like the 'ultimate Collection'). Cheers.

Giorgio says:
I checked it out: most of the tracks run for 4 minutes or less. Only "It's over" and "Starchild" are 6 minutes each.

Thank you so much Givolini, very kind of you. Bizarre how those 2 songs you mentioned are 6 minutes each as they were put on other Level 42 compilations: 'Starchild' (3:57) & 'It's Over' (4:39). Still, that's a hell of a lot better than all of them being those times & over easily. Thanks.
