This was Jaco's follow-up to his debut album "Jaco Pastorius" and it came after his 4 years in Weather Report. He used a similar band to his first solo album which included Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Othello Molineaux and several old friends from his early bands. The best moments are "Liberty City" - which is a big brass arrangement that you can't listen to without feeling good, "3 Views of a Secret" - A different take on the Weather Report version (I think it sounds better this way personally), and "Crisis" - Which consists of a repeated bass riff and loads of manic solo's from other band members over the top. Despite being bowled over by the master of electric bass's talent, there is a slight glint of 'maybe he had seen his best days by the end of the '70's' and bearing in mind he was dead 6 years later, it is a shame.. It's worth a listen though and I still give it 4 stars simply because it's Jaco and you don't argue with that!
