OK for serious readers,
This review is from: The Reformation: Faith and Flames (Hardcover)
An informative piece of work on the reformation but written in a factual style which fails to bring any of the atmosphere of the time to the fore. The reformation was a dangerous period where one's beliefs could result in dangerous enemies that earnestly wanted to give you a very painful death. To be a key player in this arena required much bravery and an intensity of belief that is difficult to imagine today. Had the author included more of the human aspect a more readable book would have been achieved without reducing in any way the value of the facts included.
