nice one son,
This review is from: A Grand Don't Come For Free (Audio CD)
The Streets are back with a second album, after the critically acclaimed Original Pirate Material. If you've heard this 2002 high flyer you might have thought like myself that the 2nd album would be an attempt to copy its style.
When you put this album in your CD player make sure that you've set aside just over 51 minutes of your life. Without wanting to spoil anything for you (a lot of reviewers are) the album is a complete story. Pretty much each song links to another in some way. To track hop this album is like track hopping a DVD movie or jumping 20 pages in a good book. You have been warned :)
The album is a blend of moving ballads and powerful dance / hiphop tunes. "Could Well Be In", "Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way" and "Dry Your Eyes" will uplift you with its piano and string ballads. While "Blinded By the Lights", "Fit But You Know It" and "Such a Twat" balance it out with powerful beats.
Mike Skinner and friends invite you to join them on a story of trust, friendship, drugs and love. Make sure you don't miss out buy your copy of "A Grand Don't Come For Free" now.
