Anyone who has played Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast will remember what an amazing game it was at the time. So it when PGR appeared on the XBox I was very interested to see how the game has changed. And changed it has. Obviously the visuals are better (let's face it they should be!) but the gameplay has been fine tuned as well. There is nothing more satisfying than perfectly negotiating a combination of tricky corners at full pelt.
And this game is big - Quick Race, Kudos Chalenges, Arcade Mode, Multiplayer - the only thing missing is an online mode! The game rewards you at just the right times as well, to ensure that you can't stop playing!
I guess this game was always going to be compared to GT A-Spec on the PS2. For me PGR is a more accomplished game with finer gameplay and loads more character. Don't get me wrong, I own a PS2 and GT3 but I think that PGR is the better game. In fact to be homnest MSR is better than GT3 in many respects...
