5.0 out of 5 stars Great Support & Very Comfortable, 17 Nov. 2010
This review is from: Gelert Single Flock Airbed (Sports)
Maybe the previous reviewer received a different product from the one which I did because I purchased one of these six weeks ago and it has been used for 2 nights each weekend since. The user, who frequently has the 'everyday' backache which most suffer from time to time reports that it is far more comfy than most traditional beds. The ridges allow you to put your bony bits in a slight hollow and (for example) your back to be supported by the adjacent slight ridge.

We use Campingaz 4D Quickpump Campingaz to inflate in about 30 seconds and the 1-way valve allows you to withdraw the pump and replace the bed's sealing cap with no escape of air. If space is no constraint then perhaps the double version would be welcomed by some but the single is more than adequate in our case.

For deflation, the whole valve simply unscrews allowing the air to be released in a few seconds. If you want to get it very flat for packing then use the pump in reverse:)

You would need a pump (or huge lungs!). don't get the Gelert pump it is v poor. The Gampingas battery one Campingaz 4D Quickpump Campingaz, with 4 D-cells is much better and costs less. Finally, if you have the space please get the double-size mattress as it is far more comfy with the extra space. Kids, who haven't developed the aches and pains of those of us 30+ will not be bothered by that though:)
