Good camera but far too many software gremlins,
This review is from: Samsung NX1000 SMART Digital Compact System Camera - Black (20.3MP, 20-50mm Lens Kit) 3.0 inch LCD (Electronics)This is a great little camera but in addition to what is in the box, you'll also need:
a) A memory card (it doesn't come with any such card - not even a small one)
You're also likely to want to buy:
a) A spare battery (not yet widely available) as the battery life isn't great
b) A carry case
So far, so standard.
If you normally transfer pictures using the lead or taking out the memory card, be assured that both of these methods work great.
My main beef with this camera is the wireless transfer software. It is just awful. One has to question whether they tested any of it prior to release. It is inconsistent, buggy, badly thought out and doesn't work most of the time. Sometimes the software displays error messages which might be useful were they not in Korean (or is it Japanese - who knows!).
Firmware update 1.01 appears to resolve most of the issues but the update software doesn't even recognise the camera so you're left to figure out how to update the software yourself.
In summary, this consists of copying the firmware update files to a blank memory card and running the firmware update from within the on-camera software.
This would be an excellent product if the software was nearly as good as the camera.

I have this camera as well as my canon DSLR and this is a great camera i would have liked a better lens (KIT) but as far as the camera its the best compact for the price on the market it feels like metal not hollow and frankly my canon feels more plastic than my NX1000 .Great for pro and beginners i would highly recomend this camera great pic quality and burst rate 8Frames per second its faster than my cannon !

shame you talked about the software more than the actual camera.

Mr. R. G. Docherty says:
The wireless transfer software was the primary reason we chose this camera over others. Had we known the software was so dire we'd have looked at something else...
