Cashing in on the self-help genre...,
This review is from: The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun (Paperback)
What a smug individual - I wonder if she has a sore shoulder from patting herself on the back so much? For example; she organised a party for her mother-in-law and goes into detail about how she didn't expect any acknowledgement, praise or help even though she was busy...instead she wrote about it in a book so now the whole world knows. She continually reminds us that she went to Yale and is/was a successful lawyer, is happily married and has a great flat in New York. She devotes a whole chapter to cleaning her home...honestly? She just seems to be congratulating herself on doing rather mundane things. I am half way through the book and not sure I can bear to finish it. I would have preferred to spend the money on a parking ticket.
