Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: A Seven Year Hitch (Kindle Edition)
This is a fairly ordinary bodice-ripper type historical romance; not my usual choice but I was looking for a light read. The story itself is OK, fairly predictable and somewhat cliched but what I really dislike about this book is the appalling editing/proof-reading.
Examples: "wondered through the garden" - erm, no. Wandered.
"It's" when it should be "its".
A Duke whose first name is "Simian" - is he really ape-like? Surely it should be Simeon?
There are numerous sentences that; seem to have a semi-colon placed at random. Very distracting, isn't it?
Unfortunately, I have noticed this kind of thing more and more in Kindle books and it really does mar my enjoyment of the book.
I won't be rushing to read any more by this author.

Think that bad proof reading is just a problem in Kindle books, since having started reading Ebooks from my library, I know that this is a common problem, in one book one of the main character had his name changed on one page, he did get his name back on the next page, maybe Ebook publishers cannot afford proof readers
