So comfortable, but be careful,
This review is from: EyeCatchShoes - Women's Carmen Boot (Apparel)
I find it quite difficult to walk in anything with a spike heel, and regularly tend to go over my ankle, even on a flat surface and sober. These boots had a slightly chunkier heel, and seemed ideal for keeping my legs warm at work, while at the same time, looking good with skirts, leggings or skinny jeans.
The thing about knee high boots is I tend to always feel a lot more confident wearing them. Even wearing them a full day at work, my feet were not sore by the time I got home, and even though they weren't quite knee high, they looked good, no matter what I was wearing. And unlike some knee high boots you get, they weren't too tight around the calf, and the heel was a nice height to do from day to night.
The problem came when I had only been wearing them for three or four weeks. Bearing in mind, I had been walking back and forth from the bus stop, around work, and around the house, I really hadn't had much wear of them at all considering. If I had been out climbing the Cairngorms for example, then I could have seen why they would suddenly go faulty. Unfortunately, in identical places on each sole, they completely split, and on the left hand boot, the steel plate was even sticking out. Considering how comfortable they were, I was so disappointed.
After contacting the seller, I was able to get a full refund, but I am now missing these boots, and cannot find an identical pair, and the seller no longer has them in stock. I am also wary now, after getting them, and both splitting in the same place, that the same thing will happen again. So I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had the same issue. Hopefully, I will find a similar pair soon, as they are ideal for every situation. Except for climbing the Cairngorms probably.
