Dandyfication: A dandy and a libertine.,
This review is from: Dandy in the Underworld (Hardcover)I loved this book, after reading it I wanted to start the whole thing over again. This could be because (much to my shame) I have a fair few things in common with Sebastian Horsley. In "The Libertine" the Earl of Rochester starts by saying "you will not like me", Sebastian Horsley ends this sordid tale with "There comes a time in every person's life when they realise they adore me. Yours has come". This may or may not be the case, depending on your sympathies, you will however be very entertained..
It is exhilaratingly honest.
Think Klaus Kinski, Henry Miller, Rimbaud, Marilyn Manson, Warhol......
Oh and by the end of the book I did like Mr Horsley very much.
