This review is from: The Courage to Grieve (Hardcover)
The book is sad and very warming to read as it explains the different stages in coping or recovery from Grief. Losing her brother at the age of seventeen and attending Gestault Therapy to finish fourteen years, to which she felt she had clung on to and then be coming a therapist afterwards. The book however is like other self help books as a guide. If grief can't be dealt with, it can best to consult a professional therapist. Like Elisabeth Kubler Ross, she explains the grief in five separate stages and not the five stages too which no one completes. Grief is an individual experience. What treatment may work for one but not for another. Each person as to deal with it in their own way.
