No so good...,
This review is from: Navman Mio 475 UK & ROI Mapping - 4.3" Widescreen Display (Electronics)
I too have had this product for a few months and I would like to share some niggles/faults with the system.
Firstly. It doesn't show which county you're in correctly - for example, I live in Huddersfield which is in West Yorkshire yet the NavMan insists that I live in Lancashire, the border of which is a good 30 miles away!
Secondly. The post codes DON'T work. If you search for an address, the address and post code are found and displayed correctly. However, if you then put that post code in as a search parameter, it can't find the correct address. Very annoying.
Thirdly. There's no provision for making map revisions. On my old TomTom system, you could make map corrections such as blocking impassable roads or register changes in traffic flow and then, when connected to your PC, upload the corrections for the benefit of other TomTom users.
Lastly, not a fault as such, just a minor irritation. Street and road names can be pronounced incorrectly. Admittedly, English is difficult and names such as Plough Lane, The Hough and Clough Lane can be a bit awkward but there's no excuse for mis-pronouncing obvious ones such as Crow St (NavMan pronounces it the same as in crown).
