OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
This review is from: Diary of a Digital Soundboy (Audio CD)
This is possibly one of the greatest drum and bass album of all time. No-one has captured the summer vibe so well since Marky & XRS.
The Album truly flows from track to track and the ragga infusion is truly wonderful. Big things are afoot for the Digital Soundboy label and this is leading the way. Look out for things from Benny Page if you like this Album.
When you hear this album I promise you'll fall in love with it. My wife even loves this album, as do both our children. It really is that accessible. That said, All the hardcore D&B heads I know love it.
In another review Crispy bacon said it was pop D & B. I think he misses the point, or that he is fairly new to the scene. D & B doesn't have to always be grimey and Industrial. And even the darkest D&B DJ's love playing Shy's stuff, from Andy C to Mampi Swift, these tunes have been rinsed out all over the scene. The music is catchy and the lyrics are fun.
Back to the Album. It all kicks off with the track FEELINGS, and if you haven't heard this track then were have you been all summer. The production values are sky high on this album and it has been recieving prime time air time even on Radio 1.
The Album is a vibe, a wonderful experience from beginning to end, and it is one that will surely last the test of time.
